I spend the majority of my time at hám working with my team on running accounts, building new relationships, providing support, implementing systems, strategy and keeping an eye on the business and all of our ongoing projects. I have a keen interest in design but stick to the business side of things and let the designers get on with what they do best ! In addition to this I most enjoy working on the development of our brand and new opportunities for the business.
When I am not working I love spending time with my 2 dogs Indie & Boo. I love sailing, mountain biking, shooting and most things involving the great outdoorsI My other interests lie with property, exterior & interior architecture and design.
I have worked as an interior designer for hám for the last 30 years. Last year I was delighted to have been made a member of the British Institute Of Interior Design despite having had no formal training.
I am married and have 4 children, my hobbies are cooking, travelling, antiques and shopping!I I absolutely love interior design, it is the kind of job where you never stop seeing new ideas and ways to use them. I love meeting new people and always look forward to seeing new clients and clients that I have worked with for a long time, these clients have become friends and its great catching up with all their news. I like a home to be a home and not a show house, beautifully furnished but so comfortable you all can't wait to get back every day.
I have worked as an Interior Designer for over 30 years for hám interiors. I specialise in the architectural design, spacial planning and sympathetic extension work to turn key finish. Also encompassing the landscape design into the overall project i am working on. I am also married to an Interior Designer and have four children. I have worked on many projects, home and abroad from town houses in London to a country house on the Island of Chios in Greece. Also being involved in country properties throughout the UK from Sandringham to Salcombe. I enjoy the eclectic look and swedish antiques and regularly incorporates these into my projects.
My pastimes include antiques, gardening, classic cars, family holidays and country walks with my dogs, Betty the Jug and my border, Gnasher. My favourite designer is Ralph Lauren (other than my wife of course!!)
I have worked at Hám Interiors as a Junior Designer for 4 years assisting Senior Designer Pam Cox on large residential projects, having previously studied Interior Design at Bournemouth University. I also help with the online store, processing orders and dealing with enquiries. I am a keen runner and have competed in various races including the London Marathon in 2013.
Design & Project Management
I have a BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and currently working towards an MSC in Project Management . What I do: Design and Project Management, I have worked at ham for 3 years as a designer and project manager since graduating from Oxford Brookes University with a BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture. I have worked on the management and build side of the company alongside Design Principle Nick Cox. I have always had a strong interest in Architecture and development. In my spare time I like to spend time with friends, gym, country walks and motor racing events.
Having grown up with interior designers as parents, I have been surrounded by an exciting and ever-changing landscape of antiques, fabrics & upholstery for as long as I can remember. I believe this has had a large bearing on my career choice and adoration of all things interiors!
I am passionate about all elements of the business and in particular I love to spend time sourcing or designing unique pieces that add a genuine character and interest to projects whilst hopefully also reflecting the taste and personality of our clients and their families.
In my spare time I enjoy travelling, photography and cooking and also spend what would likely be classified as unhealthy amount of time looking at interiors on Pinterest!
Assistant Designer to Kathryn Cross
I work on the design and build side of the company along with Nick Cox and Kathryn Cross. I gained a BA (Hons) in Interior Design at the University of Portsmouth before taking some time out to travel before joining the hàm team. I assist with the design of kitchens, bathrooms and joinery as well as the spatial planning on larger projects. Outside of the office I enjoy travelling, cooking and dancing at Glastonbury Festival.
Junior Design Assistant
I handle the social media, blog and website, as well as help Pam and Kate with sourcing items and fabrics for projects. One of my favourite parts of the job is seeing the new fabrics coming in, I'm always excited to see what C & C Milano and Ralph Lauren are bringing out! I like to spend my spare time cooking and baking, travelling and if I have a spare weekend, heading down to Salcombe with my friends and Nipper our terrier cross.
Having finished at Portsmouth University studying Interior Architecture and Design, I am currently working with Pam while Rhian is on Maternity Leave. I love the design aspect of the job, helping put together schemes, sourcing and finding fabrics. When I'm not in the office, I like taking my Tibetan terrier Harry out on walks by the river.
INDIE & BOO COX
Indie & Boo have been with hám for a while now. They are experts in handling calls that the busy staff really don't want to take. Don't be surprised if you call and are directed to either of them, if they are around they will handle your call professionally but they do spend a lot of time sleeping and don't like to be disturbed!. Both Indie & Boo love long walks in the country side, pedigree chum and pigs ears. So if you really want to make an impression and get through send 2 x pigs ears to the office for their attention with your details.
SAMPSON THE PIG
Our team generates lots of yummy left overs that Sampson happily scoffs of an eve. Ham are concerned with their carbon foot print and recycle as much as they can including leftover lunches. Sampsons hobbies include eating, sunbathing & Oinking. He is always so happy, some may say as happy as a pig in......
